of foreign policy will not only dramatically change our standing in the
world; it will jeopardize our safety. It's not worth it.
It may be good for our
competitors and our enemies, but not for America. It's time for a
change. It's time to stand once again for America's interests and
values at home and around the world. It's time to honor our men and
women in uniform and our commitment to our veterans. It's time to get
America moving again. It's time to hold up and to pass on the torch of
freedom."

You should work in Traverse City for all those cherries you picked.
ReplyDeleteHow are you standing up still with all that slant?
ReplyDeleteHuh? It's pretty much showing both sides. Which part confuses you?
Delete"Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live." - Oscar Wilde
ReplyDeleteYou are so right!! It's amazing how Obama is forcing his will on us...even to the extent of forcing Catholics to go against their deeply held beliefs or be punished!! Selfishness supreme. Thank you!!
DeleteMaybe Catholics shouldn't have voted for Obama 54/45 in 2008.
DeleteI wish this was more libertarian - the Church required to support birth control (that's bad), but it's fine to require the rest of the country to follow Catholic doctrine on gay marriage?
DeleteYes, the truth is sweet as a cherry....and hard to handle for some people. Keep on picking, Julie!!! Some cherry pickers will pick and choose which facts they can handle. They'll deny and scorn the rest.
ReplyDeleteAs a moderate who has voted on both sides of the aisle (and who doesn't really care for either of the major candidates), I'd like to note that most of these sources are, at best, conservative-leaning. I'm sure one could compile a similar list that was Obama-friendly by choosing liberal-leaning websites, yes?
ReplyDeleteBill Clinton & Barack Obama defined: what IS is & what ISLAM is !
ReplyDeleteObama is a lifeless president (as in he has no respect for life). Even when he was a Senator from Illinois he argued against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act which would have required doctors to provide necessary medical care to infants born alive. He argued that abortion doctors should be allowed to deny the life saving treatments for those infants who managed to survive the murder attempt. He backed that up with 3 votes against the life saving measures. What kind of man could defend that? Oh, I think I answered my own question. The same kind of man that would shove the HHS mandate down our throats while throwing out the First Amendment to promote his anti-life ideology. And as far as the "Catholic" voting record in the 2008 election that is being sited in an earlier post. There is one clear explanation for that. THEY ARE NOT CATHOLICS IN GOOD STANDING!!! You can identify yourself as a Catholic but if you willingly or knowingly support abortion you are in direct conflict with the teachings of the church and have abandoned your Catholic faith. If they support abortion and believe they are practicing the Catholic faith then they need to speak to a priest since they are in serious need of clarification. I suspect many of the polled voters identifying themselves as Catholic do not live their faith but think of it as some affiliation or club they were initiated in shortly after birth. They should first ask these people if they are practicing the Roman Catholic faith before quoting these voting numbers but that is not going to happen. Oh, and I just thought of another comparison between Obummer and Romney. Obummer will give you a free cell phone vs Romney may not. Keep up the good work Julie. I enjoy your blog. You are a warrior!
ReplyDelete"How are you standing up still with all that slant?"
ReplyDeleteIs the perfect way to sum up this page. It is quite obvious that you fall onto the conservative end of the table. What I can gather from the 'face value' is that you're hoping some uneducated voting person will be looking up information on the candidates and only come across this page. The information that you've picked and chosen has done the opposite of what you wish and has me leaning away from you. I'm looking forward to voting. Cheers.
She may have chosen conservative sources but direct words from the candidates and their positions as well as their own actions are evidence of what they have done and will do and what the results will be.
ReplyDeleteAnd I do see she quoted the Congressional Budget Office, the White House, the Huffington Post, CNN, Planned Parenthood, the US Dept of Health and Human Services, a White House executive order...along with conservative ones. I don't know you, but good job at seeking to be fair and balanced and share facts so people can be informed; sorry for those who think that sharing facts is being one-sided.
Thank you - I appreciate that.
