"College kids say the darndest things: On identity"

When we cannot call a spade a spade, literally, we are in a freefall from reality. Does anyone think that's a good thing? Apparently these college kids do. But don't ask them to give a straight answer about reality. The poor things seem terrified to even entertain the idea that facts are facts, let alone assert one as such. I worry about these young people. They have been so mislead.

Watch this video for the sad reality on the denial of reality.

Sigh....

  1. Julie,

All I can do is just shake my head in disbelief and wonder what happened to basic truths/common sense. It is so frustrating to see this insanity and predictable slippery slope in regards to the LGBT agenda. Coincidentally, as I was viewing the video a friend from work stopped by my office (cube ☺) to give me some disturbing news. Apparently Target stores have a transgender policy for all guest bathrooms & fitting rooms. Target found it necessary to recently reiterate their open bathroom & fitting room policy which in their words provides everyone equality and protection from discrimination. This friend has a wife and 5 kids and will no longer patronize Target. He doesn’t want his kids to be exposed to this madness or support a business that is pushing this dangerous way of thinking. As you stated in a previous post we seriously need to look at boycotting these businesses that are pushing this craziness. As always I appreciate your common sense and thoughtful insights on so many issues. Take care.

    1. Thank you, Ed - and likewise!

I shake my head in disbelief, too. It is just amazing. I am truly worried about young people especially. I once walked in on my nephew and his friends acting and talking in very effeminate ways. I asked what they were doing and he said their teacher told them they would never be able to understand the plight of homosexuals unless they acted like homosexuals. Tell me there is not indoctrination going on. This video is just that sort of destruction to our youth coming home to roost. And yes, I heard about Target. I used to love, love, love Target but stopped shopping there a year ago when they announced they would stop being gender specific in their toys. At least I've gotten past the withdrawal symptoms because I would definitely have to stop shopping there now. I am not bigoted against transgenders - I pray for them and feel compassion for them. I do not, however, want to share a restroom or dressing room with a completely heterosexual man who can now use these ridiculously dangerous open policies to pretend he is transgender. Women are not being anything "ist" or "phobic" by fearing for our safety when we are just not as physically strong and have known all our lives to use common sense as a first defense. Now places like Target (and Macy's who I also boycott) don't care about me. They care about appearances instead. Soon, though, we'll have to boycott every business if we keep quiet, which is why it's important to stand up now as best we can. Thanks for posting! Talk to you soon:-)

    3. ED as you can see things are not moving in you direction. The U.S. Justice Department has determined recently the enacted anti-LGBT law in North Carolina violates federal prohibitions on workplace discrimination and has given the state until Monday to stop enforcing the state measure.
The Obama administration informed North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory about its determination House Bill 2 contravenes Title VII of Civil Rights Act of 1964 in a letter dated May 4 from Principal Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Vanita Gupta, according to a report in the Charlotte Observer.
“This letter is to inform you that the Department of Justice has determined that, as a result of compliance with and implementation of North Carolina House Bill 2, both you and the state of North Carolina are in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended,” Gupta writes. “Specifically, the State is engaging in a pattern or practice of discrimination against transgender state employees and both you, in your official capacity, and the State are engaging in a pattern of practice of resistance to the full employment of Title VII rights by transgender employees of public agencies.”
Signed into law in March, House Bill 2 bars cities in North Carolina from enacting pro-LGBT non-discrimination ordinances and prohibits transgender people from using public restrooms in schools and government buildings consistent with their gender identity.
As the letter points out, courts and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. agency charged with enforcing federal employment civil rights law, have found the gender provisions of Title VII prohibit transgender workplace discrimination, including the barring of transgender employees from using public restrooms consistent with their gender identity.

    4. Mark,

The DOJ is not my God nor my moral compass. Liberal Obama overreach is all that is, but feel free to worship at that lifeless and corrupt altar. You never did answer my question though. Do you seriously believe the interviewer in the video is 6'5" or a Chinese woman because he says so?

    5. Your stupid to ask! The interview was a set up like this is. The comments I provide, come because people question what Julie whrites. Then like clockwork you all come out of the woodwork. Every Julie comment is the same. Look at the last two offerings she wrote...no comments were made on her artical. Is that cause she is that good or boring? Or do you all let her decide for you...how to think? As for the feds, they put stupid people in their place 50 years ago, (civil rights) they will do it again. (More civil rights) Ronald R is dead and not coming back, your christian conservative outlook can not stand on it's legs. Your way of thinking has passed away. Believe me once you let go and stay calm and go back to your life in a vacuum the better off you will be. Good luck Ed, get off our back.

    6. I think it is quite clear that you do not wish to answer the question because it would require an honest answer which you are not capable of giving. There has always been a free flow of comments on this site from both sides of the issues discussed. You certainly have taken advantage of the many opportunities to make your thoughts known. Albeit incoherent at times, but thoughts none the less. Not sure why you are whining about that. I think Julie offers wonderful and thought provoking postings which are never boring. They are in fact quite excellent. I have to say I was amused by your visits to the postings that followed this one and posted “NO COMMENTS”. Are you still in grade school? I do agree with you about the federal government. They were stupid then, and are unfortunately still making stupid decisions today. A guy going into the women’s/girl’s bathroom or shower is now supposed to be given the benefit of the doubt and given free access simply on their gender decision for the day? Do you not see that this opens the door to rapists, pedophiles, etc? It is about the safety of others, not your self-centered LGBT agenda! You call this civil rights? That is an insult to the civil rights movement. And remember clear thinking and common sense never pass away or go out of style. Try it some time. You might like it.

    7. If I come across as hostel its because you come across as a bigot. You have no concept of a transgender person, much less gay. And to use the argument about rapists and pedophiles proves it. Think for your self. Stop letting Julie pull you by the nose. The kind of things you warn of don't happen. And what makes your warnings so insain. You conservatives have been saying the same bull for years without truth. But then conservatives do make it all up don't you?

    8. You don’t come across as “hostel [sic]”, you primarily come across as immature and unwilling (or unable) to intelligently discuss any of these issues. For THOUSANDS of years, no civilized society has ever considered something as ridiculous as same-sex “marriage” (any more than the idea of someone marrying their camel). I’m not trying to make a joke – I’m simply stating an obvious fact. That’s not “bigotry”. When you, and many others in society, decide to abandon moral absolutes, and cling to the sins that you want to enjoy and promote, then ANYTHING can become a possibility (legalized polygamy, pedophilia, incest, etc.). Your love for that particular sin is what leads you to constantly attack others who will never accept that type of immorality.

Do you (or, can you) understand that????

    9. Mr. No Comments,

So I am a bigot because I don’t believe any adult man should be able to go into a girl’s restroom simply based on him claiming he “feels” like a woman on that particular day? What is stopping a rapist or any other predator from making that exact claim? Have you not heard of rapes and molestations occurring in restrooms? Your narcissistic deviance is more than willing to put girls & women at risk simply to satisfy your obsessions with the LGBT agenda. I understand now that you clearly have a hatred for women since you obviously put no value on their safety and well being. Living in your own immorality no longer satisfies your lust and personal sin. You are willing to let others face the dangerous consequences of your selfish goals as you continue to worship your LGBT god. Try seeing beyond your own nose, although I doubt you are capable of doing so.

  2. The video was produced by the "Family Research Council a Christian public policy ministry in Washington D.C. defending religious liberty". It was conceived by Joseph Backholm's the councils director, in an attempt to underhandedly discredit transgenders and the young impressionable collage kids he intervied (SET UP, TRAPED and EDITED) for the video.

You have done the very same kind of skewed journalistic reporting on marriage equality. To this day you believe gay men or lesbians can not raise a child equally as well as heterosexuals. A theory proven to be junk science. Your condescending style is what I loath most about your reporting.

    1. You don't get the answers you want to hear so it is obviously a setup or the video was edited? Give me a break. Even you should be able to comprehend the slippery slope that occurs when you take away common sense. Do you seriously think the interviewer in the video is 6'5" or a Chinese woman because he says so?

    2. Nice try, Ed, but Mark Cichewicz has demonstrated over and over again that he has no desire (and perhaps no capacity) to deal with any of these issues in a meaningful and adult-like manner. I mean, a third-grader probably understands the difference between “your” and “you’re”, for God’s sake! That’s why you’ll likely continue to get the typical childish “now your [sic] writing fairy tales” responses (it’s “you’re”, and NOT “your”, Mark!!!!).

This “gender fluidity” and “gender identity” nonsense seems to be a natural progression to blur the distinctions between the sexes (and the vital role that each should play when raising a child, as one example). After all, if one of the two gay men raising a little girl “feels” more effeminate than the other one, that’s probably good enough to supplant the role of a real mother (i.e. a female) when raising that child, or so we’re led to believe. I’ve repeatedly pointed out to Mr. Cichewicz that every child is purposely deprived of either a mother (a female) or a father (a male) when raised in a same-sex environment and yet there’s never any intelligent response or even an acknowledgement of that fact.

I don’t know if it’s political correctness gone amok, or if minds are not functioning properly, but we’re seeing the most bizarre stuff imaginable when seemingly intelligent adults can’t understand that a female can never “transition” into a male (and vice versa), that a white male is not a 6’5” Chinese woman, that a human cannot “transition” into an animal, etc., etc. And it’s scary to think that some of these youngsters will eventually be our future leaders. God help us.

    4. Paul,

I to appreciate your continuous efforts to bring some clear thinking and reality to this subject. In the past I have read your extensive responses to this mind boggling pursuit to twist God’s creative genius and can appreciate your willingness to deal with the delusionary opposition. Quite frankly I have come to the conclusion that this twisted thinking is a result of diabolical disorientation. This would certainly explain the continuous efforts to deny basic truths and push godless perversions into the lives of those who choose not to participate in it. I am willing to explain my position, but I first would hope to see serious feedback to the basic questions at hand. Being called a bigot, homophobe, LGBT hater, etc, (sound familiar?) may make somebody “feel” good, but is hardly conducive to a meaningful debate. Overall I know we have to continue to fight and give the rest to God.

    5. Thanks, Julie and Ed, for your kind words. It’s refreshing to read many of your common-sense comments – thanks for all your efforts!

I think, Ed, we’re witnessing events that are beyond anything we could have imagined occurring in our lifetime. How quickly did same-sex “marriage” progress from a ridiculous idea to the law of the land? 20 years, maybe? As a student of Scripture, here’s my take on what we’re seeing.
The most frightening biblical teaching that I’ve ever encountered is the thought that God would abandon someone to their own sinful desires. Some theologians call it “judicial abandonment”. There can come a day when God says “you’ve continued to love your sin, and you’ve continued to harden your heart so much that I’m going to abandon you to your own sinful passions without any restraint” We see that occurring historically with the Israelites (Psalm 81:11-12). We see that occurring with the Pharisees when Jesus said “let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind” (Matthew 15:14). We see that when Paul writes that “God will send upon them a strong delusion so that they might believe what is false, in order that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in unrighteousness” (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12).

In my opinion, Romans 1:18-32 could easily be published as today’s front-page news story. That text repeatedly notes that “God gave them over” to all kinds of sins. It began when men “suppressed the truth in unrighteousness” (v. 18), then progressed to sexual immorality (v. 24), then to “degrading passions” (vv. 26-27, i.e. to homosexuality), and finally to a “depraved mind” (v. 28, which many Bible scholars translate as a “non-functioning” mind). It even says that they not only love their sin, but “also give hearty approval to those who practice” those same sins (v. 32). Isn’t that exactly what we see in America today? Is it any wonder that even plain-old common sense can’t prevail when talking about many of these social issues? Some people might say “why isn’t God doing something about all of this rampant immorality?” I think He IS doing something – it’s called judicial abandonment, and I think it will get much worse. Ultimately, God will never abandon His own, but we could be in for a rough ride. Stay faithful and leave the consequences to Him.

    6. Wow. All I can say is, "Amen". My prayer is that the rough ride never departs us from the truth, which is yet another thing the evil one desires. But I trust that, like stated above, God will not abandon His own. All so well put and referenced, Paul. Thank you - and you too, Ed, for everything. And by the way, many people tell me they enjoy both your comments as well. Am encouraging them to join the conversation! God bless you both.
