New York leadership to conservatives: Leave.

Newly elected New York Mayor, Bill de Blasio, told reporters today at the US Conference of Mayors in Washington, DC, that he completely agrees with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's recent remarks that "extreme" conservatives don't belong in New York.

"I stand by that 100 percent," de Blasio said.

According to Cuomo, "extreme" conservatives are those who believe in the right to life, the right to self-defense, and in traditional marriage - and that there is no place for them in the state of New York.

Apparently ending human life in the womb, even in the ninth month,  allowing criminals to have free reign over us, and suppressing people's religious beliefs is not extreme.

I used to live in New York. I guess I'm not welcome there anymore. So much for the tolerant, accepting, freedom-loving left.

  1. Here is Governor Cuomo's exact quote: "You're seeing that play out in New York. There's SAFE-ACT. The Republican Party candidates are running against the SAFE-ACT. It was voted for by moderate Republicans who run the Senate. Their problem is not me and the Democrats, their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are "right to life," "pro assault weapon" "anti-gay"? Is that who they are? Because if that's who they are, and if they are the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York because that's not who New Yorkers are. If they're moderate Republicans, like in the Senate right now, who control the Senate -- moderate Republicans have a place in this state."

How can you translate pro assault weapons and anti-gay to mean the right to self-defense, and belief in traditional marriage?

Oh I know how...you're on "The Right Track". The Far Right...the Extreme Right.

    1. Jim - there is nothing "pro-assault" or "anti-gay" in rejecting the SAFE-ACT. That is your rhetoric, not the truth. Take care.
